The Gardens will be open again for West Woodhay’s evening of the year on Friday 14th June 2013 – there will be lots of wine and food, the latter catered this time by Kaboola, and as always our visitors will be well looked after. Beating the Retreat – West Woodhay 2011
In 2011 we saw the marvellous sight of the Band of Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers ‘Beating the Retreat’ on the main lawn at the rear of West Woodhay House looking up to the Downs; the Rifles Band have confirmed that they will do a marching display for us in 2013.
Tickets were limited for the first time in 2011 and we had to turn people away; with regret we anticipate that we may have to do so again in 2013, as we feel that we have to limit the numbers to ensure a good party, so please book early.
Taking the Salute – West Woodhay 2011
The event has been very kindly sponsored by Messrs Grundon and the Hungerford Agency of the NFU Mutual, and entry will be by donation only; we recommend a minimum amount of £17.50. Please book as soon as you receive an invitation.
The evening forms a Preview to the whole show with the Trade Stands, Gardens and Show Gardens all open between 6pm and 9pm.
