SHOW GARDEN COMPETITION.
We are
very pleased to invite you to create a Show Garden at the West Woodhay House
Garden Show which will take place from Friday evening 3rd June until Sunday
5th June 2011.
To create a 6 mtr x 6 mtr Show Garden with
the Theme
A Footprint-Friendly
Garden Recycle, buy local and look pretty for the bees and butterflies
too!
The plots within the
showground will be available to you up to 4 weeks before the show for
Landscaping.
The Gardens are to be
built either on a Membrane or above ground on Sleepers .
The interpretation of
the theme is up to each designer. We wish to keep the instructions to a
minimum to give each entrant a free hand.
The Gardens are to be
judged by a team of leading garden design and horticulture experts.
We
will present all entrants £200 towards the cost of their Show Gardens (On
completion of your Garden), and you may also contact Commercial Sponsors for
help and assistance.

information and Housekeeping.
Access to the site
will be from 3rd May for you to start working on your Garden...
The sizes of the plots
are, 6 meters x 6 meters with viewing from one side only *. Please contact
Mr Dyson to view the sites in advance of the show and let us know when you
would like access to the site. The sites will be separated from the next
garden by at least 1 mtr DEAD ZONE enabling you to build Fencing etc.
The Gardens must be
completed by 10am on Friday 3rd June, when Judging will take place.
If you need Power
for Water Pumps etc please let Nigel know.
*Post and ropes will
keep the public I meter from the front of your Show Garden.
The sites need to be
cleared by Saturday 11th June after the show, and the site
re-instated to its original condition.
Presentations to the
Winning Show Gardens will take place we hope LIVE ON BBC Berkshire, time and
place to be advised.
