To get to West Woodhay House

From the M4

Leave the M4 at junction 13 and take the A34 to Newbury. From Newbury take the the Andover road A343; on leaving Newbury turn right at the bottom of the hill signed to East Woodhay and Ball Hill. After about 3.5 miles turn left at signpost to West Woodhay; pass through the village, and bear to the right after 300 yards. Go past the Church (on your right) 

  1. the gate to the main Car Park is 50 to 100 yards on your left. Unless you have a Disabled badge or have booked a Trade stand, all cars must use this Car Park.
  2. the Front gates are a further 200 yards on your left after the lake
  3. for the Coach Park, Disabled and Trade Stands car park continue past the Front gates, the road bends to the left; continue until you see a sign directing you in to the left.

From the M4, A34 with heavy traffic

Leave the M4 as before; going south towards Newbury, take the first slip road off the A34, cross back over the A34 and turn left. Keep going through Donnington until you hit the A4 roundabout, and go West down the A4 towards Hungerford. Go for about 4 miles until you reach the sign to Kintbury, turn left to Kintbury and follow the directions as from Kintbury below.

From Hungerford and Kintbury

From Hungerford take the A4 East towards Newbury till you reach the sign for Kintbury. Turn right towards Kintbury, go over hump-backed bridges and the level-crossing, and take the second left turning ("Inkpen Road" in the middle of Kintbury); go up the hill and the road will take you round to the right. Pass the Bistro on your left, over the crossroads, down into the dip and up the other side. Fork left at Rooksnest and take the second possible right, down the Rhododendron Avenue. At the end

  1. turn right for the Coach Park, Disabled and Trade Stands car park; the road bends to the left; continue until you see a sign directing you in to the left. 
  2. for the Main Car Park turn left, pass the Front gates and the Lake on your right and continue till you reach a gate signed in to your right. If you reach the Church you have gone too far. Unless you have a Disabled badge or have booked a Trade stand, all cars must use this Car Park.
