The Art Show will exhibit, in the
marquee, a wide range of contemporary paintings, drawings, prints & cards,
and bronze sculptures, by professional and local artists who show their work
in galleries throughout the UK and abroad. Major works by sculptors of
international repute will be displayed in the garden, and this combination
will build on the successful exhibitions held at West Woodhay in 2005 and
2007. For 2009 the Art Show has been very kindly sponsored by
ROC Communications of
Thatcham. A list of artists represented in 2009,
with short bios, is
available here. |

For 2009 Messrs Dreweatts have
again kindly agreed
that Clive Stewart-Lockhart, who many of you will have
seen on the Antiques Roadshow, should be present in the Art Tent, where for a small fee
he and his colleagues will be providing
an identification service for antiques and paintings. Visitors are asked
to bring items to the marquee.
We look
forward to improving on our 2007 show, one that itself was much enjoyed, and
lived up to its billing as a major focal point for visitors. And for
those that did attend last time, the tree has been trimmed - the one that caused
a certain amount of rapid movement from those of us in the tent. |
